Following are excerpts of activities reported by the Jefferson police department:
Tuesday, Dec. 31: Officers wrote 16 citations for violation of the snow emergency parking violation.
Monday, Dec. 30: At 1:50 pm an officer investigated a traffic collision at the intersection of N. Maple and W. Reed St. Theresa Durbin was northbound on Maple. Kyle Kiner was westbound on Reed. Their vehicles collided in the intersection. Durbin was cited for failure to yield to the vehicle on the right. Damage to her 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue was estimated at $1,500. Damage to Kiner’s 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck was estimated at $1,500. At 5:22 pm a complainant reported a female who had fallen in the 100 block of S. Chestnut St. Officers found her sitting in the snow in the 100 block of W. Harrison. The officers ultimately arrested Donna Rae Bridgeman, 48, of Jefferson for public intoxication-third offense.* (Officers had spoken with Bridgeman 25 minutes earlier on another call and suggested she go home.) As a result of a complaint Dec. 16 at a residence in the 500 block of N. Oak St, Anthony Kennedy of Jefferson has been charged with trespass-simple.*
Sunday, Dec. 29: At 1:56 am a complainant reported a trespass at a residence in the 700 block of W. Lincoln Way.
Saturday, Dec. 28: Routine activity reported.
Friday, Dec. 27: At 5:53 am an officer investigated a backing collision in the 700 block of Rushview Drive. Joyce Kurth backed from a driveway and struck an illegally parked vehicle owned by Trevor West. Kurth was cited for unsafe backing on a highway. Damage to her 2012 Ford Escape was estimated at $1,000. West was cited for parking facing the wrong direction. Damage to his 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck was estimated at $1,000. At 5:31 pm an officer investigated a traffic collision at N. Olive and E. Clark St. Linda Rice was southbound on Olive St. Benjamin Jacobsen was eastbound on Clark St. They collided in the intersection. Rice was cited for failure to yield to the vehicle on the right. Damage to her 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix was estimated at $1,000. Damage to Jacobsen’s 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck was estimated at $600.
Thursday, Dec. 26: At 8:17 pm an officer was requested at 107 N. Grimmell Road for an intoxicated person who may have stolen a vehicle from a neighbor. The officer arrived and made contact with the parties involved. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Jennifer Wendy Gohn-Chavez, 42, of Jefferson on charges of operating while intoxicated (OWI)-first offense and operation without owner’s consent.*

Tuesday, Dec. 24: At 2:48 pm a complainant reported harassment by a neighbor in the 300 block of N. Olive St.
Monday, Dec. 23: At 11:49 am a complainant reported a window had been shot with a BB gun at a residence in the 700 block of W. Lincoln Way. At 1:40 pm a complainant reported criminal mischief to a window where it had been shot with a BB gun in the 400 block of N. Grimmell Road. At 9:50 pm a complainant reported harassment by a known male at a residence in the 600 block of S. Oak St.
Sunday, Dec. 22: At 9:16 Jacob Sands reported striking a mailbox and utility pole in the 1100 block of Westwood Drive. Damage to the 2000 Dodge Dakota Sands was driving was estimated at $2,000. Damage to the mailbox owned by Jeff Stroburg was estimated at $100; damage to the utility pole was minor. Sands was cited for failure to maintain control. Two citations were issued for snow parking violations.
Saturday, Dec. 21: At 11:28 am Don’s Ace Hardware reported the theft of a tool valued at $42.79. An investigation was initiated. Charges are pending. At 9:16 a complainant reported trespass at a residence in the 400 block of W. State St.
Friday, Dec. 20: At 6:20 pm a resident turned in a gun case containing ammunition found in the 100 block of E. Lincoln Way.
Thursday, Dec. 19: Routine activity reported.
Wednesday, Dec. 18: At 5:34 am an officer was advised of a domestic disturbance taking place outside a residence in the 400 block of N. Olive St. Upon the officer’s arrival the male had left the area. The female refused to cooperate with the officer. Charges are pending.
Tuesday, Dec. 17: Routine activity reported.
Monday, Dec. 16: At 10:43 am a complainant reported criminal mischief to a yard in the 500 block of N. Oak St where a neighbor drove through the yard and ran over a bush. The officer attempted to contact the neighbor.
Sunday, Dec. 15: Routine activity reported.
Saturday, Dec. 14: At 5:37 pm Bomgaars reported a theft of $17.97 in merchandise. The officer arrested Craig Burbank, 51, of Churdan for theft-fifth degree.* Burbank was transported to the Greene County Law Enforcement Center.
Friday, Dec. 13: At 1:22 pm Paul Hostetler reported a two vehicle collision in the 500 block of E. Harrison. Chad Sloan backed out of the driveway at Sloan Plumbing and Heating but struck the right front of an eastbound vehicle driven by Hostetler. Sloan was cited for unsafe backing upon a highway. Damage to his vehicle, a 2006 Ford F-450 truck owned by Sloan Plumbing and Heating, was estimated at $1,000. Damage to Hostetler’s 1986 Buick Century was estimated at $1,500. At 3:15 pm an officer investigated a two vehicle collision at the intersection of N. Maple and W. Clark St. Charles Vandever was eastbound on Clark driving a 2010 Ford bus owned by Region XII Council of Governments (a WITS bus). Roger Regaldo-Alvarez was southbound on Maple. The vehicles collided in the intersection. Regaldo-Alvarez was cited for failure to yield to the vehicle on the right and failure to have a valid driver’s license. Damage to his 1999 Mercury Cougar was estimated at $5,000. Damage to the WITS bus was estimated at $4,000.
Thursday, Dec. 12: At 2:40 pm Home State Bank reported a theft regarding deposits and a closed account. An investigation has been initiated.
Wednesday, Dec. 11: Routine activity reported.
Tuesday, Dec. 10: At 1:56 pm officers were requested to assist federal probation officers with a non-compliant client at a residence in the 300 block of S. Wilson. The officers stood by while the visit was conducted.
Monday, Dec. 9: At 8:48 am an officer was advised of two teenagers engaged in improper conduct inside a parked minivan in the high school parking lot. The incident remains under investigation. Pursuant to an investigation initiated on Dec. 7 at Don’s Ace Hardware of a shoplifting incident on Nov. 7, a warrant has been issued charging Frederick James Lonsdale, 40, of Jefferson with theft-fourth degree.*
Reminder: Parking on the street is prohibited between the hours of 6 pm and 6 am when more than one-half inch of snow has fallen. Officers wrote seven citations for snow removal parking violations on Dec. 9.
Sunday, Dec. 8: At 3:10 pm a complainant reported the theft of a set of keys from an apartment at 1000 W. Adams St. A warrant has been issued charging Frederick James Lonsdale, 40, of Jefferson with theft-fourth degree in connection with shoplifting at Don’s Ace Hardware on Nov. 13.*
Saturday, Dec. 7: At 12:15 pm a theft was reported at Don’s Ace Hardware. A male had allegedly taken $319 in merchandise without paying for it. Charges are pending completion of the investigation.
Friday, Dec. 6: Routine activity reported.
Thursday, Dec. 5: Pursuant to a complaint of shoplifting at Don’s Ace Hardware on Oct. 30, a warrant has been issued charging Frederick Lonsdale, 40, of Jefferson with theft-fifth degree.*
Wednesday, Dec. 4: At 7:58 am an officer investigated a car deer collision on Highway 30 just west of Grimmell Road. Jamie Thuelen struck a deer in the roadway. Damage to his 2004 Volkswagen Beetle was estimated at $2,500. At 12:36 pm a complainant reported trespass at a residence in the 400 block of N. Olive St. Fredrick Lonsdale, 40, of Jefferson was charged with trespass-simple.* At 1:29 pm a resident reported a burglary at a residence in the 400 block of W. State St. At 2:49 pm an officer investigated a collision in the 200 block of N. Chestnut St. Alex Dankel was northbound and attempted to turn right into the Caleris parking lot. His vehicle slid on the icy roadway and struck the curb. The vehicle then bounced off the curb and struck a 2010 Jeep Liberty Scout owned by Katelyne Harvey. Dankel’s 2005 Dodge Neon sustained an estimated $1,250 in damage. At 5:30 pm a complainant reported an electrical meter had been taken from a residence in the 300 block of W. Reed St sometime within the last several months.
Tuesday, Dec. 3: At 11:29 am an officer investigated a personal injury collision in the 100 block of N. Wilson. Anna Eckhardt of Jefferson was parked in a space on the west side of the street in the middle of the block. As she prepared to back out of the space she mistakenly put her vehicle in drive. Her 1997 Ford Club Wagon struck the concrete base of a light pole. Eckhardt was transported to Greene County Medical Center by Greene County EMS for injuries sustained in the accident. She was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to her vehicle was estimated at $3,000. Damage to the light pole, which is owned by the city of Jefferson, was estimated at $1,000.
Monday, Dec. 2: At 3:27 pm Danny Mannel reported a hit and run accident in the 100 block of Ram Drive. Mannel was parked on Ram Drive. A female had entered a parked vehicle next to his and had backed out of the parking stall. As she did, she sideswiped Mannel’s 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck, causing an estimated $1,000 in damage. The incident remains under investigation. At 9:21 pm a complainant reported a missing 17-year-old male. A missing person report was completed and filed nationwide. The male was not believed to be in any danger, but was suspected to have chosen to stay the night elsewhere.
Sunday, Dec. 1: At 2 pm an officer was requested at Dollar General for a shoplifting incident. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Zakkariah Dylan-Levi Boudewyn, 21, of Clinton for theft-fifth degree.* There was also an outstanding Greene County arrest warrant for Boudewyn for theft-fifth degree. The officer’s investigation of the event also led to the arrest of Tyler James Alberts, 25, of Clinton on an outstanding Greene County arrest warrant for theft-fifth degree.*
